We met early in the morning at the entrance of the Jardin des Tuileries, next to Place de la Concorde, one of my favourite locations for a relaxed family photo session in Paris. I recognised Ana immediately. We had met a few years earlier during another photoshoot, but this time something had changed. She looked radiant. Happy. Full of energy. And then I noticed her beautiful baby bump. Ana was six months pregnant—and expecting twins.
Instantly, this family session became even more special. It wasn't just about capturing a family holiday. It was about celebrating a growing family and a beautiful new chapter that was about to begin.
Waiting beside her were her sister Sylvia, visiting from London with her two children, Clarissa and Daniel, and of course the family's adorable dog, Frère Jacques, who was determined to be part of every photograph.

After several days of grey skies and rain, Paris gave us an unexpected gift. The sky was bright blue. The winter sun filled the gardens with soft golden light. I often recommend the Jardin des Tuileries to families visiting Paris. Unlike busier tourist locations, the gardens offer plenty of space for children to move naturally while providing elegant Parisian scenery in every direction. Historic fountains. Beautiful sculptures. Tree-lined paths.

Since dogs aren't allowed in every area of the gardens, we explored the surrounding terraces and quieter paths, allowing Frère Jacques to join the adventure while creating a wonderful variety of photographs.

The sisters chatted together in Portuguese. Even Frère Jacques received instructions in several languages. It created a joyful atmosphere that made everyone relax almost immediately.
