FAMILY PHOTO SHOOT AT JARDIN DES TUILERIES : A PRECIOUS GIFT

Some photo sessions stay with you forever. Not because of the weather, the location or the photographs themselves, but because of the people you meet and the stories they choose to share. As a family photographer in Paris, I've had the privilege of photographing hundreds of families from all over the world. Every session is unique, but every now and then, one reminds me why I chose this profession in the first place. This was one of those unforgettable moments.

A Last-Minute Family Photoshoot in Paris

A few days before their trip, Rime contacted me looking for a last-minute family photoshoot in Paris. She didn't tell me much over the phone. I simply knew she wanted to create beautiful family memories during her parents' visit. At first, she suggested Montmartre, one of the most iconic neighbourhoods in Paris. Instead, I recommended the Jardin des Tuileries. With its elegant fountains, tree-lined paths, Parisian green chairs, sculptures and breathtaking views stretching from the Louvre to Place de la Concorde, it's one of my favourite locations for family photography in Paris. It offers plenty of beautiful backdrops while remaining peaceful and easy to explore at a relaxed pace. She immediately loved the idea.

Meeting Three Beautiful Souls

We met early in the morning at the Concorde entrance of the gardens. After introducing herself, Rime walked me towards an elderly couple waiting quietly near one of the fountains. "They're my parents," she smiled. It immediately became clear that this photo session wasn't simply another family portrait. It was a gift. A gift of memories. A gift of time spent together. A gift that would remain long after their visit to Paris.
Although her parents didn't speak either French or English, communication became surprisingly easy. Smiles.Gestures. Laughter.
Photography often becomes its own language.

Creating Beautiful Memories at Their Own Pace

Unlike younger couples or families travelling with children, we weren't rushing from one location to another. We walked slowly through the gardens, enjoying the colourful autumn leaves, elegant fountains and magnificent Parisian scenery. Every bench became a portrait.
Every tree became a backdrop. Every smile became another memory. Because Rime's parents became tired quite quickly, we stayed close to the main terrace. Fortunately, the Jardin des Tuileries offers endless opportunities for beautiful family portraits without having to walk long distances.
Sometimes the simplest moments create the most meaningful photographs.

More Than a Family Photoshoot

After our session, we stopped for a coffee just outside the gardens. For the first time, it was just the two of us. That's when Rime shared the reason behind this experience. Her parents had travelled a long way to visit her after many years apart. As they were getting older, she didn't know when they would have the opportunity to spend time together again. She wanted to give them something that would last forever. Not a souvenir from Paris.
Not a luxury gift. But photographs filled with smiles, laughter and love. Listening to her story gave me goosebumps. It reminded me how powerful photography can be. We often think photographs preserve faces. In reality, they preserve relationships.

Why Family Photography Matters

Family photographs become more valuable with every passing year. Children grow up. Parents grow older. Grandparents become cherished memories. A professional family photoshoot in Paris isn't only about beautiful portraits in front of famous landmarks. It's about celebrating the people we love while we still have the chance to create new memories together. Whether you're visiting Paris with young children, grandparents or several generations of your family, investing in professional family photography means preserving moments that become priceless over time.

A Review I'll Never Forget

After receiving their gallery, Rime wrote something that deeply moved me. "I managed to make them laugh again, and that's all that mattered to me. Thank you, Paulette, for your kindness, generosity and for creating these beautiful memories for my family."
Those words reminded me that photography isn't simply about taking beautiful pictures. Sometimes it's about giving people a reason to smile.

Planning a Family Photoshoot in Paris?

Whether you're celebrating a family reunion, travelling with grandparents, welcoming a new generation or simply wanting to remember your time together in Paris, I'd love to help you create photographs that tell your family's story. Together, we'll choose the perfect location, move at a comfortable pace and create authentic memories in some of the most beautiful places in Paris, including the Jardin des Tuileries, the Eiffel Tower, the Luxembourg Gardens, Palais Royal and many hidden Parisian locations. Because the most beautiful photographs are rarely the ones that are perfectly posed. They're the ones that remind us who we love.
